.. is about 80 cm (aprox 33 inches) long from tip to pommel, the handle is made from brass and is large enough for Lady Bridget to two hand hold it although it is technically a one handed sword, the handle is about 14 cm (aprox 5.5 inches) long, wrapped in soft black leather. The pommel is brass, round and flat sided, like a very fat coin and the hilt is rectangular and blocky not rounded. The sword itself is broad till the tip and has a blood gutter on both sides right down the middle, it also has a few small patches (very small) of dark spots where the steel has been nibbled at by rust, however it will be messy to touch the blade because it has been oiled before the war with gun oil. There is also a maker's mark on the blade near the hilt but Lady Bridget cannot remember what it looks like, it's not big.

The sheath was hand made and is of a deep rich red leather, and is sueded. The two sides are sewn together with the same red leather in thongs and the stitching is over stitched. It has a slight twist in it. Where the the belt loop is is also a second belt strap so that it sit properly on my hip and it has a small braided tassel attached to the front flap that the peace bond strap locked into.
